Frankie Bones is an icon of the American techno scene and he has teamed up with UK artist Phutek for a release on Carl Cox’s Intec.

Many fans of Intec will be familiar with Frankie Bones’ track “Call It Techno” that was released on Intec a couple of years ago. That was a rereleased classic originally made available in 1989 and reworked with modern production.

This time Frankie Bones is back with new material made in collaboration with Phutek who himself is no stranger to Intec having previously dropped a solo EP on the imprint.

Frankie Bones has been involved in techno since the late ’80s and Phutek is also from an old school background working with labels like D.A.V.E. The Drummer’s Hydraulix.

With both the guys having such a long history with techno, it comes as no surprise that their new release has a timeless sound, and we have been lucky enough to premiere the EP’s lead track “Acid Souls”.

Acid Souls as its name suggests has a big acid riff at its core with twisted vocals adding to its intense atmosphere. Augmented with a slamming kick drum and high velocity percussion, this track is perfectly tailored for the dance floor.
