Purple Kaiser is the deep and melodic alias of Markus Binapfl who is also known to electronic music fans as Kaiser Souzai.
Kaiser Souzai is a pseudonym used for dark and driving techno while the Purple Kaiser style is more in line with other artists such as Tale Of Us, Mind Against and Artbat.
So far there has been only a limited number of Purple Kaiser releases, but with an album coming around the corner we at Him Self Her have been captivated by the soaring energy and immersive atmosphere of his music.
Bar 25 was the first label to expose us to him, and since then we have been blown away by a number of self-released works on his own imprint Ballroom Purple.
The next Ballroom Purple release is the second sampler taken from the forthcoming album titled “Entangled” and it’s a three track EP with cuts that fully embrace what we have come to expect from Purple Kaiser.
“Purple Dreams” is the name of the sampler, and it features a track called “Purple Hazed” which we have been lucky enough to premiere.
Purple Hazed has a brooding intensity shrouded in dark atmosphere that compliments the intricacy of the delicate piano’s poignant melodies. A masterclass in musicianship and production skills, this in an exquisite track that has techy undertones perfect for the dance floor.
