Julien Earle and his record label Reflection invite some fresh blood to the techno scene with a new release that featured the debut of Splinter Cell.
Splinter Cell is a brand-new talent who is making a first official release with a remix of Julien Earle’s most recent track “To The Music”.
The original mix of the track was released in May 2023 and while that track is still fresh in the minds of those who have experienced it on a dance floor, the label has decided to drop the Splinter Cell remix.
There isn’t much to say about Splinter Cell as the alias is shrouded in secrecy, but their music style holds nothing back, as this debut remix is pushing a tempo of around 140 BPM.
After raising the tempo of the original, Splinter Cell then works in some industrial stabs and some screeching synths that add to the unsettling suspense of this monstrous rework. The hammering kick and pulsating bassline lay a foundation for the original’s grinding lead synth and namesake vocal sample.
It’s a punishing remix that stays true to the original while switching up the sound to create a devastating version that really ramps up the energy.
