Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It label opens up 2018 with another release from the highly regarded Ataxia, who serve up their third EP for the imprint, following the huge impact of their Supertouch EP back in July 2017 and The Acid EP in 2016, interspersed with stellar releases on labels like Leftroom and Nervous.

The release as a whole is a contemporary and innovative Detroit house & techno journey, with nods to the likes of Robert Hood and Derrick May. The three original tracks are minimal and quirky, filled with unique sounds, and the occasional touch of acid.

Our pick from the EP is ‘Texas is the Reason’. A true groover, it’s heaving circling bass creates a hook in itself, and is then layered with raw, vintage sounding drums and trippy, warped keys. With pure motor city vibes, this is one for the late night heads.

The release drops on 16th February, and is available HERE.
