Tomasz Guiddo is an electronic music artist living in China where he also owns the Vinyl House record shops. Originally from Poland, he spent many years living in Berlin and along with solo tracks under his own name, has also released collaborative works using the aliases of Manhooker plus Guiddo & Mavin.
Having preformed DJ sets in many great venues ranging from MoMA PS1 in New York to Berghain/Panorama Bar in Berlin, he has earned respect as an accomplished club spinner. Releasing music he has been equally successful, with tracks from his various production aliases finding their way onto labels such as Beats In Space, Ostgut Ton, Sonar Kollektiv and Mule Musiq.
Having already released as Compost/Compost Disco he now returns to the imprint with his latest EP made in collaboration with Nirosta Steel aka Steven Hall who is a vocalist and guitarist who sang on iconic tracks such as “Tell You Today” and “Is It All Over My Face?”.
Compost is of course the highly respected imprint that’s roster of artists includes everyone from Solomun to Move D.
The latest release from Tomasz Guiddo on Compost is a single called “Go Back” and we have been honoured with premiere of the original instrumental which is a jazzy cut with brooding atmosphere and an organic sound full of vibrant musicianship.
