UNER for years now has been ahead of the game when it comes to Melodic Techno, and the latest release on his label Solar Distance is everything you would expect from someone with such a finely tuned ear.
Despite having featured music from heavyweight producers such as SIS, Philip Bader and UNER himself, the label also champions fresh talent, and the latest Solar Distance release features originals from Fernando Lagreca.
Fernando Lagreca to many is perhaps not the most instantly recognisable artist, but with appearences at events like Sónar in Barcelona, he is fast making a name for himself playing hardware only live sets.
The original music is deep and melodic with a subtle sci-fi influence constructed as futuristic soundscapes from synths painted over the club friendly beats.
The most prominent track on the Orchidea EP is the Mattia Pompeo remix of the title track. Mattia has previously featured on labels including Stil Vor Talent, Parquet, Einmusika, Tenampa and Suara. Showing some real musicianship with his own added guitar sections, Mattia Pompeo’s rework really takes things to the next level with a masterclass in how to do a remix.
