Sabo and his label Sol Selectas share a sound rich in melody and spiritual vibes. Heavily influenced by music folk law from around the world, Sabo’s 2016 album Vibe Quest was focused on the concept of exploring tribal rhythms from around the globe, and how discovering new music is a never ending quest.
Following the success of the original release Sabo has recently commissioned new remixes of the tracks from Vibe Quest, and Zakir, Metrika, KMLN, Basti Grub plus Timboletti have each put their stamp on one of the tracks.
The compilation also features a selection of previously released remix versions that have featured on the singles taken from the release, which includes the likes of Germany’s iconic Acid Pauli.
Here at Him Self Her, we have been privileged to premiere Basti Grub’s remix of “Fantastico” who adds his thick and chunky sound to the original without losing any of its magic.
Basti Grub is an artist popular with the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano, whose previous releases have featured on labels including Davide Squillace’s This and That, Kling Klong, Desolat, Cocoon and Get Physical.
