Ray Okpara steps up for the second release on new label Yet Records, and alongside the original track titled “Violong” there are solo remix versions from André Butano plus Jee Bear.
With a stripped back sound, Ray Okpara is an artist who has been championed by labels including Tenamp, Mobilee, Saved Records, Akbal Music and his own label AMA Recordings.
Alongside his original cut, Ray has also provided a dub version of “Violong” and we have been honoured with a first play of the Dub Mix.
Stripping away the strings and vocal phrases used in the original version, the dub focuses in on the percussive groove and deep atmospherics. Combining bubbling synths and sudden bursts of melody, this moody cut is both trippy and hypnotic.
