Ahead of the release of their forthcoming album, Monkey Safari drop a brand new single. “Hi” is taken from the LP of the same name, which is due for release in June this year on their own label Hommage. The duo continue to showcase their penchant for bright, uplifting sounds with the new single, a small taster of what’s to come on the album.
We have the first play of the duo’s alternative “Suddenly Sunshine Mix” of “Hi”, with its jovial rhythm, utilising organic-sounding percussion and a more tribal-esque inspired rhythm. As it builds and progresses the track teases out a sense of euphoria and the vocal clip is tapered to great effect.
