Purple Kaiser is the new alias of Markus Binapfl who is best know to electronic music fans as the techno artist Kaiser Souzai.
Although Kaiser Souzai is all about high-paced techno, Purple Kaiser takes life at a slower pace with a focus on atmosphere and uplifting melodies.
Markus Binapfl is a man of many talents and musical experience allowing him to diversigy his sound into multiple styles, and for anyone interested in some fan trivia… he also used to have a shared alias with one half of Kaiserdisco, so it is not totally random that they both have “Kaiser” in their names.
Coming at the start of 2021 is the debut album from Purple Kaiser, and in anticipation for that mouthwatering release, he has got us salivating with a two-track sampler that gives a taste of what to expect.
The two tasty morsels are both exquisitely produced melodic house with the lead track “Silence” having a distinct vocal that is hauntingly beautiful against the drama of the backing track on which it’s nestled.
“Seen The Lights” is the second track and it’s cut from a similar cloth with synth pads of cosmic proportion intertwining with powerful percussion rhythms full of charisma, and just the right amount of energy for it to feel both deep and energetic.
We’re curious to hear more of Purple Kaiser as this release has certainly pricked up our ears to anticipate more of what is to come.
