Matt Tolfrey is a stalwart of the UK club scene and alongside releases on his iconic label Leftroom has also featured music on other imprints such as Crosstown Rebels, Rekids, No.19 Music, Cocoon, and more recently Elrow and Kaluki.
Adding to his already impressive back catalogue Matt Tolfrey’s recent release titled Don’t Ask, Don’t Get EP is out on NiCe7 and Leon‘s label D-Floor, which has previously featured tracks and remixes from everyone ranging from Patrick Topping to Claude VonStroke.
The three track EP is reminiscent of Matt Tolfrey’s early Leftroom releases with shuffling percussion rhythms, quirky samples and wonky basslines, all fused together with dark atmospherics and a raw funk.
Tech House the way it should be, this EP is a proper fusion of house groove’s and loopy elements often associated with techno. Having already picked up support from Richy Ahmed, Tiefschwarz, Riva Starr, Mathias Kaden and Josh Wink, you can pick up a copy HERE.
