Soon to be released on Crosstown Rebels is the debut album from Davide Squillace, who originally from Naples in Italy, has titled his album Once upon a Time in Napoli in homage to his birth place.
Davide Squillace is one of the main residents at Circoloco and has been involved in electronic music for over two decades. Along with his busy DJ schedule, he also boasts a back catalogue of music released on many of the world’s best known house and techno record labels.
With countless EP’s and remixes under his belt on imprints ranging from Cadenza to Minus, perhaps the biggest bit of news about this album is the fact he has not released one sooner, as his music is held in high regard by a large, and truly global fan base.
Whatever the reason behind why he is only releasing his first album after 20 years, we can confirm it’s been more than worth the wait, as the LP delivers everything you would want to hear from Davide Squillace.
Melody rich grooves with tribal percussion and a moody atmosphere is what runs through the core of the release, and it also gives credits to drummer Paki Palmieri, plus vocalist Alex Nazar.
The release is schedule for the 30th of March, and will soon be available to pre-order.
