Viels

Techno doesn’t always have to wear a frown, and with Destino, Viels shows us how to be deep, dark, and still have a bit of fun. Dropping on Friday the 13th, because why not add a little drama, his four-tracker from the End of Perception boss is a sleek, well-crafted ride through pulsing rhythms and textural flair.

“Primo Respiro” kicks things off like techno yoga: steady, spacious, and just a little eerie. The tension builds gently, giving your brain something to chew on while your feet start tapping. It’s the kind of opener that sets the tone without stealing the show, cool, calm, and subtly hypnotic.

Then comes “Movimento Tellurico,” and this one struts in with a bit more pep. It bubbles and glides with quirky finesse, like a Martian trying to moonwalk. There’s something charming about its understated weirdness, with just enough groove to get lost in.

“Incompleti” slides into the mix like a deep-space submarine. Dubby and spacious, it’s full of fuzzy bleeps and flickering echoes, reminiscent of a cozy sonic cave you’ll want to explore with headphones and a daydream.

Last of the four, “Destino” brings us back to earth, or at least the dance floor. It’s moody, driving, and a bit raw, like a confident closing track that doesn’t need to shout to be heard.

Viels proves here that techno can be both thoughtful and fun, like a serious chat with a cheeky smile. Destino is mysterious, immersive, and slyly playful.
