Maurizio Cascella

Concrete Records dives back into the hypnotic end of techno with Disegno Remix Vol. 3, and this one feels like getting lost in a maze at 4AM with a grin on your face. Built around Maurizio Cascella’s “Disegno 2,” the release gathers a heavyweight cast of remixers who each twist the original into their own strange and addictive shape.

Cascella, who co-founded the respected Rome imprint and has previously collaborated with Dino Sabatini and Fabrizio Lapiana, keeps the original version beautifully restrained. “Disegno 2” doesn’t explode or scream for attention, it creeps forward with subtle movement, reduced grooves, and hypnotic intent. It’s the kind of track that quietly takes over the room before you even realise it.

Luigi Tozzi kicks things off with the ‘Spiral Mix,’ and true to form, it’s deep, fluid, and endlessly immersive. The Rome-based producer, known for releases on Non Series, Hypnus, Dynamic Reflection, and ARTS, stretches the track into a swirling trip full of drifting textures and slow-burning tension.

Francesco Pierguidi brings a more spacious and atmospheric touch, stripping things back into suspended tones and ghostly fragments that feel perfect for those eyes-closed moments on the dance floor.

Then Psyk arrives and flips the switch. The Non Series boss injects a tighter groove and extra punch into the framework, creating a version that feels lean, mechanical, and completely locked-in without losing the mystery of the original.

Rounding things off is Luigi Tozzi’s digital bonus ‘Rephase’ version, a warped and dreamlike reconstruction that adds one final layer to an EP packed with depth, subtle madness, and late-night magic.
