After 20 years of throwing some of the most diverse and cutting edge parties in Germany, fledgling imprint Muna Musik was sprung from the club brand, with long time resident and highly regarded Mathias Kaden at the helm. The label has made a bold impact on the scene in a fairly short space of time, offering a heavyweight roster of artists from the outset, including the likes of Cassy, Robag Wruhme & Dj W!ld.
The latest offering is no exception; a beautifully curated selection of contemporary artists across the spectrum of electronic music deliver a mini compilation of precision, quality and credibility.
The release seems to tell a short story, opening with an eclectic production from Tobi Neumann, moving through to the raw sounds of Steve Bug, and closing with an intrinsically woven piece of deep analogue house from Jacob Korn.
But the winner here for us is Tel Aviv’s Magit Cacoon, who not only delivers a credible deep techno cut for the vinyl release, but then adds to this a beautifully emotional piece of electronica as a bonus track for the digital heads.
