Dream is a new deep tech/minimal EP from Canadian producer Darem Aissa, it is a trippy release with smooth pads and flowing rhythms.
The release comes via Darem Aissa’s esteemed record label, Suleiman, which has featured original music from the likes of DoubtingThomas, Nima Gorji, Alexi Delano and Cesare vs Disorder.
Cesare vs Disorder also features as a remix artist on this release, alongside two other solo remixes by Tadeo Catzin and Jerome.c.
Darem Aissa’s two originals are the foundation of this release, and they are in the style he has previously showcased via Suleiman, as both tracks layer deep pads and atmospheric vocals over techy percussion.
Tadeo Catzin and Jerome.c both provide remixes of the title track “Dream.” Tadeo Catzin swaps the original’s melodic bassline for a chugging acid line, while also tightening the percussion. Jerome.c chops the original’s vocal into rhythmic stabs, which he uses alongside the tough percussion in his gritty version.
Cesare vs Disorder remixes the second original track “Phase 3”. He keeps the originals sensual vocal, but lifts the tempo, and switches the percussion to a breakbeat instead of a 4/4. It is an intense rework with an ominous bassline.
