Boom Merchant is back on Tribal Pulse to release his four-track techno EP, Transpacific.
Over the last twelve months, Boom Merchant has released music with record labels including AUTEKTONE DARK, Black Square, and Occultus Records, but still frequents his own imprint Tribal Pulse.
Transpacific is Boom Merchant’s fifth appearance on Tribal Pulse in 2025, and it’s another strong release, which showcases his versatility as a producer.
This year has also seen Boom Merchant connect with his South American audience, as he recently relocated to Mexico, where he has made a splash within the local club scene.
“Kamakura” is the opening track, and its razor sharp hi-hats slice through dark atmospherics, while conga hits and rave sirens merge with the captivating Asian vocal sample. “Senso-Ji” combines hardcore breakbeats and soulful vocal phrases with fizzing hi-hats and a hulking bassline. “Shinbashi” is an intense track that unleashes a steady increase of energy as it lifts through the gears. “Different Routes Home” brings things to a close with a growling bassline and catchy vocals that add a playful vibe to the menacing atmosphere.
